Redesignwithme provides the gift of portrait to you and your children for future generations. Not only does Redesignwithme photograph beautiful memories for family Christmas cards, anniversary celebrations, reminders of wonderful times during your parent's 80th birthday, but our work lives on in celebration of life at times of loss, as well as new beginnings.
We travel around New York State Capital Region and beyond to host sessions in local parks, city scapes, residences, or wherever a family has a special place they like to visit. Redesignwithme photographs families being themselves and having fun together. We are available for week-day evenings or weekend sessions to fit into the busy schedule of family life.
Pricing for family sessions start at $350 for 1 hour sessions.

We did a family photo shoot with Rachel and she was great to work with from start to finish. She was very responsive and flexible during the scheduling process and was even able to work around our kids' nap schedule! She had lots of great location suggestions and even went above and beyond to call ahead to some of the locations to let them know we were coming!
As for the photo shoot itself, she was very patient and flexible (small children can be difficult)! We were able to take frequent breaks to allow the kiddos to regroup and she didn't make us feel rushed at all. She has a great eye for detail, lighting, angles, and poses. The finished product was better than we could have imagined. She captured some precious moments in time of my family that I will cherish forever.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have professional level photos taken!
The family photo shoot experience went incredibly smoothly from beginning to end. Rachel has wonderful intuition for poses and settings that matched our family's personality perfectly. She had great ideas ahead of time for things we could try and was also very open to our ideas during the shoot. She made it fun! Rachel had some really great pose ideas that I would never have thought of and the end result was so fabulous. We hadn't had a formal family photography session prior to this so didn't have specific poses in mind but Rachel was prepared :) I couldn't believe how quickly Rachel was able to get the finished product back to us and the pictures were absolutely polished and wonderful. We are very pleased with the finished product and would highly recommend her for any photo event!
Quality photos and a wonderful experience! I booked a Family Photo Session at the Rose Garden in Schenectady with Rachel of Redesignwithme, who has all the attributes I wanted in a photographer. She put us at ease by gently directing us yet she was also open to our suggestions. Rachel has a kind, easy-going personality and is comfortable with both adults and kids. With scheduling, she is very flexible. At the last minute I requested a change to the date we booked, due to uncooperative weather, and she was very accommodating. With regard to communications, she responds in a timely manner, answers all questions thoroughly, and makes the booking and ordering process so easy by providing explanations. Best of all, we are thrilled with the end result. Our photos are of high-quality, showcasing our family’s love for each other as well as our playful, goofy side, against the beautiful setting of the Rose Garden. My boyfriend and I booked Rachel for just a simple couples photo shoot. Neither of us had ever gotten professional photos done so we both were clueless. Rachel was so informative and professional. She arranged an incredible location for us and had gone the extra mile to get permission from the owners to have a photo session there. I’m so glad we followed her recommendation because the location was better than anything I would have picked. She had great knowledge of poses for us that were flattering and her creativity with how to frame the shots blew me away when I saw the pictures. The place was beautiful already, but through her lens she made it look truly magical. She was so easy going and made us feel super comfortable so every shot transpired naturally and came out looking amazing. Her knowledge, skills with photographing, editing and speedy return time on the photos made it such an enjoyable process and had us over the moon with the results. Rachel is a consummate professional. She immediately makes you feel at ease, and makes the photo session fun. Such great pictures have never been taken of my family! She got everyone to smile, but also look natural, and the edits were great. She worked very fast too, and got our pictures to us so quickly! The poses turned out great! I wouldn’t add anything, and we felt comfortable giving feedback on them. Super timely, and they turned out better than I could ever have imagined. She made us all look great! Our session went great! Although it didn't feel like we were going to get any good shots because my kids were being nutjobs, Rachel worked her magic and we have a dozen or so gorgeous photos that I can't wait to frame. The posing worked well and looked pretty natural in most of the photos. We received our digital images very quickly! Much quicker than stated in the contract. Rachel was wonderful to work with. The photos came out much better than I expected (considering the energy level and kookieness of my children). She spent a lot of time with us and was able to get the kids comfortable in their regular "habitat." The results were wonderful and will adorn my walls for years to come!

A free product appointment can be scheduled to see the quality and products we offer. We typically like to schedule this before the session so you know what we have and can have the items in mind when we photograph your family session. Schedule a Free Viewing Party
After your session we offer basic editing services including color correction, exposure, and removal of obvious distracting background items. Additional edits may incur additional fees. We provide a slideshow of your session at the viewing party to show an overview of your portraits, and afterwards we review images one by one if you choose to purchase individual prints. We ask that the purchasing family members to be present at the viewing in order to see the products in-person and to finalize the purchase.
