Why do I need an engagement photo session? - Wedding Photography

Updated: May 5

This is a question most couples ask when trying to creatively shave potential cost off their wedding photography packages. Not only is the engagement session a time to get great photos with your partner, but this is a great opportunity to spend time with the Redesignwithme team as your wedding photographers.

Besides your wedding party, you probably spend the most time with your photographers on your wedding day, so you want to make sure that the team you choose meshes well with you and partner’s personalities. We are there as more than a photography team, but also to make sure you have the best experience possible leading up to your wedding day. We love gushing over all the exciting details you would share with a close friend or sister. We are friends, confidants, and the photographers you never knew you needed for the biggest life events. Behind the lens we cry along with you as you give your vows to each other since we’re a team of hopeless romantics.

When we start photographing your engagement session, we select poses that feel natural to you, and we make you feel true to yourselves in your reactions to each other. Above all, I create an experience where it’s fun being with your partner in a place that means the most to you.

After having a blast at your session, I custom design your save the date or invite, to send out to your wedding guests. We make it as easy as possible by creating a one-stop-shop for all your wedding communication needs.

The best part about your engagement session with Redesignwithme is that if you book a eight hour+ wedding, the cost of the engagement session ($350) and the online gallery of images ($200) will be deducted from the cost of the overall price of your wedding package. It’s our way of saying thank you for working with us, and a way to get to know you.

When you book a wedding with us, we will send you a custom contract, a photography timeline, and recommendations of other vendors we’ve worked with and love. We also share some helpful tips for the DIY Bride here on our blog.

Contact us here on our website for more details and a free no-commitment consultation chat either online or in-person. We would love the opportunity to spend your day with you, and ensure all your photography needs are taken care of.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

-Rachel
