Engagement Session - Indian Ladder Farms, Altamont NY

I love being able to go to my home town for photo sessions. There are so many beautiful places in the area and at Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont NY, you can almost taste the delicious cider donuts as the smell of cinnamon and sugar wafts through the cool crisp fall air.

Ryan and Clair met me at the Orchard with Ryan's mother Minda and her husband Bob. I've known Ryan since he was a freshman at Guilderland High School when I became friends with his sister Kate. Kate's family moved to the area from Massachusetts and they lived around the corner from my family in Altamont. I may have mentioned in other posts, but visiting with Kate's family is like being with my close relatives. I have been blessed to attend multiple family functions growing up with Kate, and have photographed Kate's immediate family in past family sessions.

Ryan and Clair had Connor in 2021 and were married in a small civil service in the winter last year but never had the larger celebration that they originally planned. Now that Connor is older and the timing is better, they are finally able to celebrate their union with a short ceremony and a joyous reception. To kick off the festivities, they enjoyed a crisp fall engagement session at Indian Ladder Farms, in Altamont NY, a location just below their future wedding venue in Thacher Park. They walked hand in hand through the apple trees, twirled in the open fields, and had giggle kisses while the sun set behind the mountains. Minda and Bob were wonderful and provided care for baby Connor so we could include him in just a few photos at the beginning of our session.

I am beyond elated for these two and I am honored to be a part of this family's celebration throughout the year and into next Fall.

Congratulations Clair and Ryan!!!! You deserve a lifetime of happiness together! Connor could not have asked for better parents!
