What a night, the weather was beautiful after the day or so of the rain we had. It was nice enough to go outside and capture some energetic kiddos.
Alyssa and her little family live out in Duanesburg which has beautiful views of hills and the changing leaves are gorgeous. She is an old friend from my Altamont Elementary School days. Although we have known each other since we were young, Alyssa and I really connected while we both worked on paint crew for the Guilderland High School musicals. My fondest memory of Alyssa is when we worked on the musical Pippin together. The scenes were particularly artistic to work on and she has amazing talent for painting and art, which I admire. Alyssa and I would see each other from time to time at friend gatherings, BC (before Covid).
The two goofs below are Alyssa's daughters. It's hard to take life too seriously when these two sisters are making you laugh through the entire session.
Charlotte, the oldest, was full of suggestions and helpful posing ideas. As you can see below, she really knows what she's doing. She says she wants to be a photographer, "like me" one day. I think she's going to be in front of the camera more, but I guess we'll have to find out.
Freya was kind enough to allow her sister most of the limelight, but I was able to snap a few photos of her. When she's having fun, she doesn't mind posing for a photo or two.
We ended the night playing on the swingset. It was so nice to take photos of the girls in their natural environment having a good time.
I can't wait to take some Christmas card photos next time! At least I know I'll have a variety of expressive faces to work with, most from Charlotte of course. LOL ;-) I love her in this one below.
