Clair and Ryan's wedding day was a windy September Saturday. The sun was out but it was slightly chilly at the Thacher Park Glen Doone overlook. The ceremony was beautiful and bright. There was much laughter while Clair and Ryan said their vows, which even though they were written in secret, had many mentions of similar memories they shared. You could tell that they really loved each other and they were meant to be together.
From ceremony, to family portraits and onto the reception, family and friends danced the afternoon away under the breezy tent by Tremont tent rentals. Music and laughter trailed off the edge of the cliff side as Clair and Ryan walked and cuddled in some amazing scenic pre-sunset shots over the valley.
I was so happy to be a part of their day. Thacher Park is a very special venue near my home town of Altamont, NY, and I have known Ryan, the groom, growing up with his sister Kate as a close friend of mine from Guilderland High School. Our families are very close, and I have been honored to photograph them for various occasions in the past.
Congratulations Clair and Ryan! Hoping you have the happiest of times together this year and I can't wait to see you all again at another gathering!!!
