I look forward to photographing these two families every time we get together. They are so easy to work with. It makes a photographer enjoy the shooting process. However, the editing process is much harder when you have so many excellent photos to choose from. I had to really look for the tiny things instead of easily weeding out photos that wouldn't work.

I was so excited to photograph Carrie and Dave again. I photographed their engagement shots in Saratoga years ago and I was so happy to hear they wanted to travel there again for their family portrait session with their son.

Jen and Lucas have been family friends since my college years. I was introduced to the couple when they lived in downtown Albany, where I would visit them in between my art classes at their apartment near Picotte, part of The College of Saint Rose art campus. I have been fortunate enough to witness this little family as it's grown from Jen and Lucas, to their first child, then adding their second child, and now their guest exchange student for the 2020-21 school year. It's been eight years since our last session!! Wow, how time flies!! :-)

Carrie and Jen happen to be sisters so it worked out that both families were able do their photo shoot together. See the cutest smiles, awwww sisterly love.

More sisterly love in our session with these guys below. I couldn't stop myself from taking photos and you can feel the genuine heartfelt hugs...

Although this session was super natural pose heavy, the kids rolled with it, so with no interruption to the flow, we kept up with some single portraits of the kiddos.

Wonderful weekend of great weather and a great way to end the summer days on a family session. I can't wait to steal Jen's girls away for a day or two to get some amazing photos with these models I barely have to direct. ;-)

It's days like these that make me realize what a lucky photographer I am. Thank you again to both of your families. We will see each other soon I am sure.
