The wedding day arrived and my sister and I embarked on a crisp Fall ride to the Serendipity Lake house in Windham NY. As I drove, we listened to the radio and we admired the gorgeous pops of red, yellow, and orange Fall foliage that dappled the mountains ahead. There was a peacefulness in the air driving to the Windham area was much like Jayleen and Connor's engagement session at epic Lake Minnewaska, where nature again offered the most amazing view and gorgeous backdrop.
Once we arrived at the venue, the preparations were underway for Jayleen and Connor's wedding ceremony. After some detail shots, their first look, and wedding party photos by the pond, we all hustled inside to get the couple warmed up as guests began to arrive.
The bonfire was lit and the ceremony began. Jayleen's cousin the officiant, dressed in a plum colored suit, stood at the edge of the Lake under the archway. Connor stood close by smiling anxiously awaiting his bride to walk down the aisle. Jayleen's and Connor's mothers walked arm and arm beaming from ear to ear. After the wedding party found their seats, Jayleen arrived with her sister linked to her side.
The wind picked up and Jayleen laughed as she was totally engrossed in the ceremony trying to ignore the cold October breeze. Behind the couple, the blue sky and lake were saturated with color and the fall colors were a beautiful contrast to the sky and water. I never could have imagined a more appropriate place for this couple then the Serendipity Lake House.

From the moment we spoke I felt the three of us have a lot in common. With our love of musicals and the outdoors, we fit just right. I am so happy for you two and I know your life together will be epic and grand with a calming demeanor, like your photo backdrops have been for both your engagement and your wedding. Thank you again for driving so far to your engagement session at Lake Minnewaska and making my vision of you two on the edge of the mountain come to life. Now with your wedding in the beautiful Fall foliage, I couldn't have asked for more. Congratulations!!!
